11-year history and hundreds of partners - how Citadeli has become a guarantor of quality

Citadeli  Building and Repair Materials Company sums up 11 years of work in the Georgia market. 

Despite the current situation in the region, in 2022 Citadeli  has dramatically increased the number of suppliers and acquired new partners. Also, the company actively developed rental, retail, corporate, online and distribution areas. One of the priorities for 2022 was the creation of an e-commerce platform. The development of digital services significantly increased the company's sales figures.

BusinessPessNews talked to Levan Gakheladze, Commercial Director of Citadeli, about how the company sums up the results of the past years and what its plans are for the future.

Apart from strengthening e-commerce direction and growth of partnership relations, it is interesting to know what novelties Citadeli is going to offer to its customers in 2022? Especially since this period can be considered post-pandemic and the year of economic recovery...

Citadeli  cares about increasing the number of satisfied customers every day. To this end, we created a new loyalty program for residents of our partner construction or development companies. In particular, residents of the Grada residential complex will receive a discount on repair materials presented in Citadeli 's showroom.

Important steps have also been taken in terms of assortment diversity. A hybrid space was created at 34 Agladze Street in Tbilisi. The outdoor and indoor retail space is about 10,000 square meters. Citadeli  also opened an outlet store in 2022.

What are Citadeli 's plans for 2023?

Citadeli  has been around for 11 years and maintains a leading position in the country in sales of building and repair materials. In fact, we're the only company that brings together the entire spectrum needed for foundation work.

In 2023, as in previous years, we plan to dynamically increase the rate of sales. In about 2 months we will open a renovated Citadeli  showroom in Batumi (at the same address). The space will be made in Citadeli  PLUS concept and will offer customers the entire range available in the company.

The year 2023 started actively, we became Knauf's official dealer in Georgia and introduced a new paint brand MASTER to the market.

The goal of our team is to be a reliable company for our partners and to innovate together with them on the Georgian market.

One such partner for Citadeli  is the company Grada. It was in cooperation with them that we presented the DUO universal and innovative formwork system for the first time in Georgia, which received the AKA Product Innovation Award.

 

One of Citadeli 's major partners is Grada Construction, a company known for its high quality and reliable construction.

We spoke with Nika Chelidze, deputy director of the construction company, about Grada Construction's future plans.

 

What does the partnership between Grada Construction and Citadeli  include and what common projects will you offer to customers?

Grada Construction has been in the Georgian market for 6 years. At this stage, the company has completed construction and handed over to residents 800 apartments, with a total area of 46,000 square meters. At present, the construction of 6 sites with a total area of 80,000 square meters is underway.

The main priority for our company is high quality construction and its implementation in time. This is guaranteed by products, which we use at our sites, such as PERI German formwork systems, Roto German door and window materials, YTONG blocks from the world-famous gas-block manufacturer, elevators of the Finnish brand "Kone" and others.

The site of Grada was the first in Georgia, where we used DUO Universal Formwork System from PERI with the involvement of the partner. Since then, all of our projects have been built with the materials of the said brand, and we plan to continue our cooperation in this direction in the future.

What challenges did you face in 2022 and how did you respond to them?

2022 was a successful year for our company, as we began construction of a new premium-class complex. The post-pandemic period was active and the construction process, which had been slowed down due to various regulations, was fully restored.

As various construction and repair materials were coming into Georgia through Ukraine, there were problems with supplies in the first half of the year due to the military situation, but we stabilized the said situation in the second half of 2022.

As the number of projects increased, we needed to hire new personnel. Because of the lack of qualified personnel on the market, we have to take more effort to find them. Therefore, the company actively cooperates with various universities, with the aim of employing and improving the qualifications of students in the construction industry.

Grada has moved to a new stage of development. Each of our projects is built using modern technology, which allows us to offer our clients residential, commercial or office space tailored to their views and needs. Our goal is to keep up with the development of modern technology as quickly as possible and to give everyone the opportunity to live in a calm and comfortable environment.
