“ROCKWOOL Membrane for Walls” is a vapor-proof water- and wind-proof membrane. The membrane is designed to protect thermal insulation and inner elements of constructions and all types of building walls from cold air, wind, condensation, and atmospheric moisture vapors.
“ROCKWOOL Membrane for Walls” can be manufactured with application of fireproofing additives (antipyrenes) to protect the membrane from spontaneous local fire outbreaks.
“ROCKWOOL Membrane for Walls” is necessary while performing the works to thermally insulate private houses and apartments. The membrane is fixed externally directly on the insulation layer. The panels of the membrane are placed overlapping 15 cm on horizontal and vertical joints and fastened to the wooden frame with a construction stapler. It is necessary to ensure 4-5 cm thick ventilated air gap between the membrane and outer framing to remove water vapor.
The lower edge of the material must ensure smooth runoff of moisture into the drainage. “ROCKWOOL Membrane for Walls” contributes to improvement of heat-protective properties of thermal insulation and extends structural durability.
