The door is made from 8 mm thick MDF boards coated with PVC.
Solid pine runs around the perimeter of the door, making it sturdy; it is this natural wood on which the hinges and lock are mounted.
The interior of the door is filled with a dense, eco-friendly cardboard filling material called "Goffre” (corrugated cardboard) which has sound and heat insulation properties.
MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) - Fibreboard made from natural wood sawdust which is glued into a single board under high pressure and temperature, and retains the practical properties of natural wood (strength, does not expand with moisture, can be painted or coated in any colour).
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a plastic material with a variety of designs that is attached to the MDF by vacuum to form a single moisture-resistant board.
