Company mission and values - Tell us about your company, what goals and principles does it uphold?

MAPEI GROUP, a giant manufacturer of construction chemicals, currently owns a global production network across five continents, comprising 106 factories in 42 countries, where more than 9,800 materials are produced.
Innovation and research are the foundation of the brand's development - 5% of turnover is dedicated precisely to this direction. MAPEI GROUP's mission is to create innovative, environmentally sustainable solutions that fully comply with modern standards and ensure the wellbeing of both partners and end consumers.

When it comes to a new exclusive partner, MAPEI's main standards are of interest. Share with us the main criteria by which you select a new international partner.

For MAPEI GROUP, partnership means adhering to common rules that have been formed over decades: protecting the brand's image, transparent financial cooperation, strict quality control, protection of interests in a competitive environment, and dynamic development of materials on the market.

When did the partnership between MAPEI and Citadeli begin, and what was the main vision that defined the partnership between the companies?

The cooperation between MAPEI and Citadeli has already lasted five years. The main goal of our cooperation was mutual interest, namely, through joint work, to develop a mutually beneficial relationship between a globally recognized European brand and a leading company on Georgia's construction market.

Waterproofing is an integral and mandatory part of construction that determines the long-term operation of the final product (the building). What are the main factors that make MAPEI's waterproofing materials stand out?

I agree with you, waterproofing is one of the important directions. First of all, it is essential to select the correct waterproofing system. For the long-term performance of our materials, MAPEI GROUP has developed cement-polymer, acrylic, bitumen, PVC, TPO and FPO membrane, bentonite, polyurethane, and polyurea, among other waterproofing materials, for almost all cases and problems very commonly encountered in the construction business.


In addition to high product quality, our main advantage is continuous technical support through seminars, trainings, and consultations, which ensures the long-term and reliable performance of the materials.

Price and quality - what is the company's policy regarding the balance of these two important components?

It is impossible to reduce prices at the expense of quality. Our pricing policy covers the medium and high segments. Given that MAPEI GROUP has a large number of factories with diverse geographical locations, the buyer has a great advantage in making a beneficial, profitable choice regarding logistical matters and in the formation of the final price.

As a representative of an internationally recognized brand, what would you advise the Georgian construction sector? Which materials/category development do you foresee in the near future?

The most important advice is to focus on quality, in order to avoid repeated warranty servicing of our own completed work and the colossal expenses arising from it. As a Jewish saying goes: "I am not rich enough to pay twice for the same goods."

What are MAPEI's future plans in Georgia?

Of course, our primary future goal is to increase turnover on Georgia's construction market and to elevate our existing niche.
