Visit of representatives of Citadeli's partner companies to Mapei S.P.A. facilities in Italy
On the initiative of Citadeli and at the invitation of Mapei S.P.A., representatives of Citadeli's partner companies visited Italy.
Among the visitors were the heads of procurement, business development and projects of the companies “Redix”, “Arki”, “Orbi Group”, “New Road” and “PERI”, as well as responsible persons of “Citadeli”.
As part of this tour, the guests visited the Mapei S.P.A. facilities (in Ponte di Piave, Medilia), the headquarters ( showrooms) and the laboratory (Milan).
In Italy, the working and informational visit of the representative delegation was led and supported by Mr. Marco Faccini, General Manager of Mapei's regional representative office “Mapei-Ukraine”, his deputy Mrs. Anna Rybinok and Mr. Giancarlo Mantese, Deputy Commercial Director.
The first part of the visit was dedicated to a tour of the production capacities of the Polyglass S.P.A. plant, a subsidiary of Mapei S.P.A., in Ponte di Piave, and a presentation and theoretical workshop. The guests were familiarized with the manufacturing process of PVC, TPO, FPO membranes and bitumen-based materials, including non-combustible, energy-saving self-adhesive membranes.
The visit of the delegation to Milan lasted 3 days. Representatives of construction and development companies and Citadeli visited the largest, historically the first Mapei plant in Medilia.
At this location, visitors familiarized themselves with innovative systems based on cement-polymer, epoxy resins, and polyurethanes; as well as with the production cycle of paints and other environmentally friendly, energy-saving materials.
The final part of the tour took place in Mapei's R&D laboratory in Milan, where the managers described the complete production chain of (some of) the systems already implemented, and visualized the specifics of material quality expertise.
An interesting and informative theoretical workshop on underground waterproofing materials was held at Mapei's headquarters. The training was conducted by Mr. Francesco Guidici, head of the product development group, and Mr. Mario Ruggiero, head of the technical group for underground insulation materials.
Mrs. Veronica Squinzi, co-owner and CEO of Mapei S.PA., met with the delegation. She thanked them for their visit and interest.
The visit of the Georgian delegation to Italy was organized by Irakli Kartozia, the official representative of Mapei S.P.A. in Georgia.
It is important for Citadelli to receive feedback from the representatives of the participating companies.
According to Alex Arsenidze, Head of Business Development Department of Redix LLC, the visit was very fruitful: “I am very satisfied with the tour organized by Citadeli, both in terms of hospitality and familiarization with the products. I will be actively using MAPEI roofing tar paper and cement adhesive in construction. I am interested in the innovations that I got to know during the tour, in particular the injection materials that are used in tunnels, underground parking lots and bridges.”
