33 construction products corresponding to the Georgian alphabet
Do you know how the words "Apalovka", "Dangrati" etc. are translated into Georgian? Barbarisms in the construction sphere - in order to combat this problem, on the occasion of Mother Tongue Day, the construction and repair materials company "Citadeli" created a Georgian dictionary of construction terms.
The aim of the attempt was to express our attitude towards the monument of intangible cultural heritage which is called Mother Tongue," said Nino Gonierashvili, marketing and public relations manager of “Citadeli”.
As a result, 33 types of products were symbolically selected to correspond to the 33 letters of Georgian alphabet out of several thousands of products available at “Citadeli”. The selected products were presented by graphic designer Luca Kirkitadze in the form of fun and attractive illustrations.
"Barbarisms are a very big problem in our field. Most of us don't know what the words 'formwork', 'riser' etc. mean, for example. This social project was dedicated to solving this problem and it was timed, symbolically, to coincide with Mother Tongue Day," Nino tells us.
