Personal Protective Equipment
27 February
The construction industry is a field where thousands of people work daily at heights, with heavy equipment, and potentially hazardous materials. Statistics show that violations of safety rules are the main cause of workplace accidents. Therefore, compliance with safety standards is not only a requirement but also a guarantee of each employee’s life and health.
When working in construction, the most important factor is the protective equipment that ensures the safety of every worker, specifically:
Protective helmet – protects the head from falling objects that may unexpectedly drop from a height.Safety glasses – protect the eyes from dust and debris, especially important during drilling, cutting, and grinding work.
Protective gloves – protect hands from cuts and burns. Different tasks require different types of gloves: mechanical protection, chemical resistance, heat resistance, etc.
Safety footwear – protects feet from heavy falling objects. It is also waterproof, slip-resistant, and provides protection against nails and sharp objects common in construction environments.
Respirator or mask – necessary when working in dusty environments, with chemicals, or during paint spraying.
Ear protection – used in noisy environments and when working with heavy machinery to protect hearing.
Safety harness – mandatory equipment for working at heights, preventing injuries from falls.
