Painting tiles is quite an original and simple solution, this method will give new life to your kitchen or bathroom. You can use any color you want for the tiles or decorate them with ornaments.
If you have already considered painting your tiles, these tips will definitely help you:
Step 1: Clean the tiles
Before proceeding directly to painting the tiles, first of all, you need to carry out preparatory work.
The first thing to do is to thoroughly clean the surface. Tiles are most often found in kitchens and bathrooms where dirt, grease or soap stains may be present. Therefore, you need to clean the tiles well with a sponge. If you are planning to paint the tiles in the kitchen, you can also use a degreaser, but in other cases, the initial treatment can be done with water.
Step 2: Apply primer
It is generally recommended to use a primer immediately before painting the surface. Primer is used to keep the base coat of paint stable. It creates a more optimal environment for creating high adhesion. Accordingly, when you use a primer, the life of the paint is increased.
However, when painting tile, you can skip the primer step if you choose a type of paint such as Chromodomi TILE PAINT. This paint is designed specifically for use in the bathroom and kitchen and does not require additional primer application. TILE PAINT is characterized by strong adhesion, scratch and detergent resistance.
Step 3: Painting - Chromodomi TILE PAINT
First of all, you need to dissolve the paint with nitro thinner. For TILE PAINT, use up to 10% nitro thinner (Nitro Thinner).
After opening the thinner, mix well and start painting. You may use a roller or brush to apply the paint. After applying the first coat, wait for it to dry and be sure to apply the second coat.
Note that the paint consumption for one coat of 12-14 sq/m is one liter:
Do not use TILE PAINT at temperatures below 6°C and above 40°C, or at relative humidity above 80%. Unfavorable conditions of use may alter the quality properties of the product.
Important information:
It is significant that none of Chromodomi paint contains lead and other harmful substances, making it a 100% safe product. Therefore, you can use it even if you have children at home.
